Peer Review Policy
Journal of Woman in Development and Politics, uses double-blind peer review to review manuscripts. So that the reviewers do not know the author's identity and vice versa.
The Process of Accepting Manuscripts
1- Submit the article via the journal’s website
Authors may submit articles only through the journal’s website. To become the owner of one’s own page and receive a password and username, it is necessary to access the journal’s website and register for the first time. Depending on the settings by the editor, all correspondence with authors at various phases of the work will be conducted automatically through the system.
Authors must prepare and submit their articles in accordance with the instructions outlined in the authors’ instruction section. In articles with multiple authors, one of the authors is identified as the corresponding author, and all other correspondence will be sent to the corresponding author’s email address.
2- Initial evaluation of the article
At this stage, articles with the proper structure based on the "Guide for Authors" are sent to the editorial board of the journal for review.
At this point, articles with the appropriate scientific content which are consistent with the aim and scope of the journal, will be initially approved. Editor in chief or an Editor will review the manuscripts and will select reviewer of their peers for them. This process usually takes between 3 to 7 days.
3- Review of article
The articles that have been approved in the previous stage, after paying the review fee, are sent to at least two reviewers who have an opinion on the subject of the article, and after the review, articles are divided into one of the three categories according to the outcome of the review:
1. Articles that need no correction and can be published as they are;
2. Articles that can be published after revisions based on reviewer's comments;
3. Articles that are not publishable.
Obviously, the first category articles will be published immediately after paying the admission and publishing fee. The second category will be sent to the article's main author in order to get revised according to reviewer's comments, and non-printable articles will be removed from the publication path while informing the author of the article (30 days)
4- Revision of the Article
The article will be sent to the author if the referee requests a major or minor revision (technical content corrections are considered minor). Within 10 days, the author revises, uploads, and transmits the article through the system. The revised article is sent to the respected referee for a summary and final response for a second time.
5- The final acceptance
After revising the article based on the reviewer's comments or providing sufficient reasons for not needing revisions, and paying the admission and publication fee, the article will be put in the publication queue and a written letter about the final acceptance and publication of the article will be sent to the author.
