The current study aims to investigate the relationship between feminism tendencies, self- objectification, thin ideal internalization and gender identity in female students of Islamic Azad University of Sabzebvar (2018). This study was conducted by correlation-descriptive method. The population of this study included 1856 female students of Islamic Azad University of Sabzebvar. Using Morgan table, 318 persons were selected through relative stratified random sampling method. The data were collected using Questionnaires of Burgad & Hides Feminism (1991), Neil and Fredrickson's self-objectification (1997), Stick and Grass thin-idealization (1998) and Schertzer, Laufer, Silvera, & Brad McBride Gender identity (2008). The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation and Univariate regression methods in SPSS20. The results showed that there was no significant relationship between feminist tendencies and self- objectification; but there was a significant negative correlation with thin ideal internalization and a significant positive relationship with Gender identity. In addition, it was found that feminism tendencies accounted for about 5.4% of the variance in thin ideal internalization and 5.6% of the variance in Gender identity. Therefore, increase in feminism tendencies can reduce thin ideal internalization and increase the Gender identity of female students.

The current study aims to investigate the relationship between resilience, hardiness and life satisfaction with body image of high school students of Sabzevar in 2014. This study was correlational. The population of this study included 1578 high school girls of Sabzevar and 311 persons were selected through Multistep cluster sampling method. The data was collected using Conner-Davidson Resilience Scale, Kobasa Hardiness Scale, Diener life satisfaction scale and Fisher body image Scale. Pearson correlation and stepwise regression were used for data analysis with SPSS18. The results showed that there were significant and positive correlation between resilience, hardiness and life satisfaction with body image. In addition, it was found that resilience, hardiness and life satisfaction could explain 25 Percent of body image variance among students. The results showed that increasing resilience, hardiness and life satisfaction can decrease dissatisfaction of body image among female students and can improve their mental health and wellbeing .

Today, self-objectification is defined by evaluating the others based on physical appearance, beauty and sexual attractiveness; it is a major source of women suffering especially for female students and reduces their resilience and self-compassion thereby endangering mental health. The current study aims to investigate the relationship between self-objectification with resilience and self-compassion of female students of Islamic Azad university of Sabzevar. The present research was descriptive and correlative. The population of this study included all incoming female students of Islamic Azad University of Sabzevar in 2014 that were totally 647 individuals. Using accessible sampling method and with help of Cochran’s formula for sample size, 242 subjects were selected through Stratified random sampling method. The data was collected using McKinley & Hyde self-objectification scale, Conner-Davidson Resilience Scale, and Neff self -compassion Scale. Pearson correlation and stepwise regression were used for analyzing data with SPSS18. The results showed that there were significant and negative correlation between self-objectification with resilience and self-compassion. In addition, it was found that component of self-objectification (body shame, body surveillance, appearance control) could respectively explain 31 Percent of variance of resilience and 18 Percent of self-compassion among students. Therefore, decreasing self-objectification can increase resilience and self-compassion among female students.

Women with addicted husband suffer more than other women from mental disorders and they are less resilient. Family-based education with purpose of promoting mental health and resiliency can solve the problems of women with addicted husband. The purpose of this research is to study the effect of family-based education on mental health and resiliency of women with addicted husband in Sabzevar. The present research applied a semi-experimental method with pretest–posttest and control group. Population included women with addicted husband who were under treatment of addiction treatment centers of Sabzevar in 2014. Thirty six women volunteered to participate in educational program; then, they were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. Data were collected using demographic questionnaire, General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-28) and Connor and Davidson Resilience Scale (RSA). Covariance analysis was used to analyze the data. The results showed that the family-based education has a significant positive effect on mental health (F=7.46, P<0.001) and resiliency (F=8.11, P<0.001) of women with addicted husband. Therefore, family-based education improves mental health and resiliency of women with addicted husband.
